I appreciate Micayla's posts.  I have neglected the blog for quite awhile mainly due to password problems but now that is straigtened out.  It is fun and Drew really enjoys checking out the posts with me.  We'd love to hear from you all! ROBBIE BURNS NIGHT NETWORK MEETING

Last week we had a wonderful festive Network Meeting/Robbie Burns party. Thank you so much to Patricia and Alistair for making the evening so wonderful for us. As usual Patricia and Alistair prepared some delicious treats (my favourite were the oat cakes!), and selected some lovely wines and scotch for the evening.

We had a great time planning Drew's 14th Independence celebration over our nibbles and drinks.

THE EMPRESS CHRISTMAS TREES

Just wanted to share a few pictures from my special holiday evening with Drew last week. We went to the Empress hotel to do one of Drew's favorite activities and look at the Christmas trees. We had a great time strolling around, viewing and judging the trees. I took a picture of Drew's and my favorite trees to share with you guys. After we looked at the trees we went to a wonderful holiday IMAX called The Light's Before Christmas - so fun! Please post if you are doing something fun with Drew over the holidays!

NETWORK HOLIDAY PARTY

I just wanted to send out a quick note of thanks on behalf of the Network to Patricia and Alistair for a wonderful holiday dinner a few weeks back. It was so lovely coming back from the Santa Claus parade to your warm and festive house for hot mulled wine and a lovely holiday dinner. It was especially great that I won a door prize! I always appreciate Drew's wonderful Network, and my chance to be a part of it, but never more than at our recent holiday Party. And, I love this picture of Drew watching the parade.

Just a quick note after last night's Network Meeting to share some pics of Drew making homemade hummus for the Network. He was excited to go shopping together and prepare a snack for everyone. He even wavered over whether people would prefer regular tortilla chips or the guacamole chips we eventually decided on (and all enjoyed). Drew and I have decided that in honour of his new efforts for a healthy lifestyle we will make a healthy snack for each Network Meeting. Next time we will not leave you all smelling like garlic. As always, it was a pleasure. Looking forward to our next meeting on January 25th!

VICTORIA MARATHON SUCCESS!

Drew, Alistair and I did the 8KM walk in the Victoria Marathon last Sunday.  It was great fun, we all enjoyed being part of this enormous event.  The best part was raising funds for Lifetime Networks.

The organization raised over $27,000!! a fantastic sum for a small non profit.  Thanks to the generosity of our friends and family we raised over $1,000 ourselves!  We are all charged to do it again next year and hope some of our network friends will join us!

Drew's Birthday Party!

On Saturday September 25th Gerry, Larry, Cathy Drew and I headed out to enjoy some brunch, the sun, and mini-golf at Mattick's Farm to celebrate Drew's birthday. After a delicious meal at the Tea House we spent a few hours playing mini-golf. Although we did not formally keep score, I can safely say that Drew and Larry won the game. Drew even got a hole in one! We missed the rest of the Network but still had a fantastic time. Hope you enjoy these pics and look forward to seeing you soon!
