Drew participated in the Hospice Swimathon on Saturday and outdid himself by swimming continuously for
1 1/2 hours. I should add that his long time swim teacher Nellie was there urging him on and if he looked like he was ready to call it a day she'd say "okay Drew do six more". At his swim lessons she cracks the whip! She is a great coach and the one who started the swimathon 25 years ago. I think Drew was happy to see the Thrifty's table set up with appetizing snacks. It was quite a celebatory event with swimmers parade, speeches, live band etc. Drew raised $310.00 for the cause. Unfortunately his mother isn't as energetic about getting pledges as she was for many of his swims in younger days but heh every bit counts and he swam, and swam, and swam! right Drew?!
